Bainbridge Island, Washington (March 14, 2010) – iSixSigma Live! is pleased to announce that SSA & Company will present the second annual Energy Forum for Process Excellence (May 24-27, The St. Regis, Houston, Texas, USA, http://live.isixsigma.com/energy2010).

In 2009, international business professionals gathered in the world’s energy capital to learn to lead their organization with process excellence – doing more with less, and doing it better, faster and cheaper. At this second annual event, join the 200 professionals who will learn from energy experts and network with process excellence leaders. The four-day Forum features:

  • A pre-conference day of workshops, including a complimentary executive overview of Lean Six Sigma, provided by SSA & Company
  • Two days of general session keynotes and breakout tracks
  • A post-conference day for site tours

Based on 2009’s attendee feedback, this year’s Energy Forum will feature a broad representation of energy sources and segments:

  • Sources: oil and gas, natural gas, nuclear power, coal, and alternative energy (e.g., hydropower, geothermal, solar, wind, biofuels).
  • Segments: exploration and mining, processing, generation and distribution, and storage and transportation.

Agenda tracks include: Oil & Gas Upstream, Power Generation & Distribution, Internal Operations (Supply Chain, HR, IT, etc.), Continuous Improvement Program Management, Oil & Gas Downstream, and Service Providers.

The agenda for the Energy Forum for Process Excellence is being developed by a team: led by iSixSigma, the leading provider of Lean Six Sigma content; an executive advisory panel that is back to lend its expertise for a second year including representatives from Chevron, Halliburton, Hess and Marathon Oil; and SSA & Company, an operations consulting firm using an innovative approach to process improvement.

The Energy Forum for Process Excellence is presented for its second year by SSA & Company (http://www.ssaandco.com). With offices in the United States, Europe, and Asia, SSA & Company helps leading companies increase their margins, grow revenues and improve working capital through improved business processes. Founded in 1994 by the progenitors of the Six Sigma methodology, the company taught companies like GE, AlliedSignal, DuPont and AXA how to achieve higher levels of quality with substantially lower costs. Today, SSA & Company continues to improve upon and evolve beyond its Lean Six Sigma legacy, developing an approach into one of the most widely used and regarded management systems – Strategic Process Management (SPM) – a way to transform businesses using analysis, rigor and individual empowerment.
