Onity, a provider of electronic locking systems, has announced that it has appointed W. Laird Hamberlin to the position of president. Laird, who is a certifed Six Sigma Black Belt, will be based in Onity’s global headquarters in Duluth, Ga., USA.
Prior to joining Onity, Laird served as vice president, global accounts, for Tyco Fire & Security, a provider of fire and security products and services. In his nine-year career at Tyco, Laird has held positions in sales, operations, business development and general management.
Onity is part of UTC Fire & Security, which is a a unit of United Technologies Corp.
