Bainbridge Island, Washington (May 24, 2010) – Awards season is officially open for the iSixSigma Live! Awards, which recognize Six Sigma projects and programs that have demonstrated breakthrough results and people who have made significant contributions to the Six Sigma community. Starting today, online nominations are being accepted for Lean Six Sigma projects, individuals and companies that excel in their continuous improvement efforts.
This year, a new category has been added to the Six Sigma project awards:
Largest-Breakthrough Innovation Project – Process and Product Development, which will recognize “breakthrough” results for projects that use the Design for Six Sigma methodology in the creation of new products, services and processes.
The four other main award categories are:
Largest-Breakthrough Improvement Project: iSixSigma will recognize Lean Six Sigma DMAIC projects with the largest breakthrough results in four categories – Supply Chain, Transactional, Manufacturing and Customer Service.
Most Successful Lean Six Sigma Start-up Program and Most Successful Re-energized Lean Six Sigma Program: Focusing on programs, these awards recognize the team’s successes in getting a deployment off the ground or injecting new life into one.
iSixSigma’s Best Places to Work™ for Six Sigma Professionals: The annual Best Places list honors organizations that foster a supportive culture, develop their Six Sigma talent, offer career advancement opportunities, and provide excellent rewards and recognition.
iSixSigma’s Six Sigma Hall of Fame™: iSixSigma will recognize an individual who has significantly impacted corporate growth and shareholder value through the use of Lean Six Sigma by inducting them into the Six Sigma Hall of Fame™. Current inductees in the Hall of Fame™ include Bill Smith and Robert Galvin.
The deadline for nominating an organization for Best Places to Work™ is July 26, 2010. All other iSixSigma award nominations must be submitted no later than Oct. 18, 2010. Finalists and winners will be recognized at the iSixSigma Live! Summit & Awards, Feb. 7-10, in Miami.
