So, if you’ve not been paying attention to the news, there is plenty to keep abreast of when considering artificial intelligence in the workplace. Now, we’ve previously covered the impact of artificial intelligence within the workplace. However, the tools we’re covering today are transforming businesses for the better.

However, as with all managed service providers and vendors, you’ll want to be wary about leaning too much on these tools. While they can certainly boost your productivity and efficiency, there is always space for downtime and data breaches. That said, if you can temper your expectations, you’ll see positive results across the board.

AI has been in use by businesses for years now, but we’ve only just started seeing the surface being scratched when it comes to how they integrate into all industries. The tools we’re covering today aren’t just used for the likes of the tech industry but can be applied across any business sector.

AI-Powered Tools to Consider

Now that I’ve hopefully piqued your interest, let’s explore some of the hottest tools in artificial intelligence today. If you ask anyone who’s integrated AI into their workflow, you’re likely to see at least one of these AI-powered tools suggested.

I’ve selected a few that apply to a few specific use cases from content generation to data analytics. We are a Six Sigma website after all, so rather than focusing on what are essentially glorified toys and apps for your smartphone. Instead, these have real-world applications for any business.

ClickUp

The first AI-powered tool we’re highlighting is ClickUp, an AI assistant platform. Similar in scope and breadth to Google’s Gemini, ClickUp focuses on acting as a digital gopher. While it can’t make you coffee, it can handle a variety of tasks.

Chief among its primary functions are text generation, like creating boilerplate text for the likes of marketing copy and blog posts. Additionally, it can translate documents on the fly, summarize long-winded emails, and help generate ideas.

ClickUp is still relatively new, so features are being added all the time. However, when you get down to it, this is one of the most versatile AI-powered tools you’ll find on the market today. If you need a little extra help navigating the workspace, this AI assistant might be what you need.

ChatGPT

The 500-ton elephant in the room, any list of AI-powered tools would be disappointing without at least a cursory mention of ChatGPT. OpenAI’s large language model has been a killer app when it comes to showing the efficacy and power of AI in the workplace. ChatGPT does a little bit of everything, so I can’t touch too exhaustively on the features.

However, much like ClickUp, you’re looking at the likes of text generation, language translation, and answering queries. Additionally, ChatGPT can generate basic code, which is helpful for users looking to generate scripts or applications with no prior knowledge of computer programming.

Best of all, you can experience much of what ChatGPT has to offer for the low cost of nothing. While the more robust model will set you back a monthly fee, you can give the basic version a test drive without the need for an account or credit card.

Dall-E

Another of OpenAI’s creations, Dall-E made the rounds on social media during the pandemic as a fun way to create memes. However, that is selling this AI-powered tool short. Dall-E is a diffusion model used for image creation, where users feed text prompts in return for bespoke images created within mere moments.

Now, you won’t be using this for the likes of designing control charts or data analysis. However, if you’re looking to get out quick design mockups, it is an indispensable tool. This won’t find use in every industry, but for organizations with high-tech visual needs, you’ll certainly find a use for it.

Tome

Are you struggling to draft a presentation for your team? You might consider Tome before you stare at your word processor in silence. Tome is another AI-powered tool centered on text creation but with a heavy focus on storytelling.

Now, you can certainly use this for the likes of writing a book. However, it works wonders for drafting presentations, marketing materials, and concept pitches. You’ll naturally want a human to come back over the materials to analyze things.

However, when you consider the versatility of this AI-powered tool, it is certainly worth a look.

Tableau

Tableau has been a fixture in the data analytics sphere for years now. However, if you’re already engaging in their services, you’ll be delighted to know they are one of the most in-depth AI-powered tools you can use for data analysis.

Tableau focuses on visualization business and intelligence. AI drives the analytics engine at play here, allowing users to transform raw data into beautiful visual presentations. If you don’t want to spend months learning something like R, Python, or Matlab, this is the next best thing.

This is one service that is a killer app, especially if you don’t have anyone trained in data science within your organization. You might as well consider leveraging the power of this platform to make the most of the copious amounts of data your business generates.

IBM Watson Studio

IBM is one of the big names in computing, a pioneering force in the early days of mainframes and workstations. That innovation never left, despite IBM itself leaving the consumer market years ago. IBM has been hard at work developing high-tech tools and services aimed at businesses.

Watson Studio is a comprehensive data science platform that allows users to build and deploy AI models centered around data. Now, I don’t need to tell you about the power of data, after all, look at the site you’re reading this on.

If you’re looking to supercharge your data-driven approaches to business, IBM Watson Studio is certainly worth considering. However, keep in mind this isn’t a tool for the layperson. You’ll need a foundational knowledge of data science to make the most of it.

Katalon

If you’re involved in software development, you’re likely going to need tools for testing. Now, there is no shortage of testing platforms, QA assets, and other services you can engage in. However, before you pull the trigger on those, Katalon might be just what you need.

Katalon is an AI-powered tool centered around software testing. You’ll still have to write the code yourself, but when it comes time to test for multiple platforms, Katalon has you covered. With tools providing automated testing for web, mobile, and desktop applications, it is one of the most versatile platform tests around.

Six Sigma and Agile have some similarities, but if you’re looking into the iterative design of software, Katalon is a tool worth considering. However, this isn’t for the faint of heart. You’ll need a stable pipeline between human testers, developers, and this platform to make the most of it.

Salesforce Einstein Analytics

Needing to offload some of the legwork for analyzing your customer data? Salesforce is one of the leading POS systems seen throughout the world. However, they are also one of the more robust B2B vendors out there depending on the needs of your organization.

Their Einstein Analytics is one of those AI-powered tools that bears mention. It utilizes predictive analytics to take a good hard look at incoming customer data to predict behavior and expectations. You can take this power and transform your business for the better.

Utilizing Einstein Analytics is a transformative tool for the likes of designing your products. As Six Sigma practitioners, you’ll want to heed the voice of the customer. What if you had a tool that could predict what your customers want without the need for time-consuming surveys and user feedback? Einstein Analytics does that and more.

Zendesk Chatbot

Needing first-line responses for your customers? You could hire workers overseas to handle customer service chat on your off-hours, or you could leverage something like Zendesk Chatbot. What makes this one of the most useful AI-powered tools out there is the machine learning it uses to listen to your customers.

While this won’t provide nuance and depth for more technical issues, it can provide a useful front-line assistant to your customers. Zendesk Chatbot is in use with many different companies, usually providing answers to vital customer questions regardless of the hours of operation.

This helps free up your support department to handle more pressing issues, rather than dealing with the same old questions that arise time and time again. If you aren’t using it, you should be.

Other Useful Tools and Concepts

We’ve covered quite a bit on AI, but what about tools that you can use in your organization right now? Learning the differences between the likes of exit criteria and acceptance criteria is vital. Any project is going to have milestones and KPIs you need to pay attention to. Learning how these criteria affect your projects can provide a safety net and a way to track progress.

Additionally, do you know the differences between standard operating procedures and work instructions? Onboarding new employees can be a difficult prospect. However, with a deeper understanding of the differences between these two methods of instruction, you’ll see your workers prospering.

Conclusion

So, should you be leveraging AI-powered tools in your workplace? The wave of the future certainly points to yes. Artificial intelligence isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. That said, many of the leading voices across multiple industries are already leveraging the power of artificial intelligence.

As such, you have to ask yourself: do you want to be left in the dust? We’ve covered the tools, it’s up to you to make the most of these and implement them in your organization. These tools are only growing more sophisticated and robust with each passing day, so learning them now is a great way to transform your organization for the better.
