ISSSC Six Sigma Training Program Helps Unemployed Students Obtain Real-world Experience with the Six Sigma Project Internship Program
Cincinnati, Ohio (October 31, 2008) – ISSSC, The International Society for Six Sigma Certifications, is proud to announce the launch of their Six Sigma Project Internship Program.
Addressing the need for ISSSC’s Six Sigma students to have real-world experience to round out their Six Sigma training and certification, ISSSC is seeking companies using Six Sigma to mentor Green Belt and Black Belt students that are currently unemployed.
This instructor-led program benefits both the company and the student. There are several benefits for your company or organization including the introduction to the Six Sigma process, faster implementation of a Six Sigma project due to additional help and no additional cost. The obvious benefit for the student is the real-world experience and the exposure to a possible future employer. As a result, it’s a win-win situation for everyone involved.
“By assisting or leading a corporation’s Six Sigma project, our students obtain valuable experience in a real-world environment. This experience, along with the training and certification, also increases their exposure to potential employers and makes them more marketable,” states Betty Hakes, VP of Marketing, ISSSC.
ISSSC’s training model includes guiding students through an actual project while teaching them the material. Program includes instructor-led mentoring during class and the following 6-months. Companies using or employing an ISSSC Six Sigma student also benefit from this post instructor-led mentoring to assist them in starting or maintaining a Six Sigma project.
To sign up as a mentor for ISSSC’s internship program, please contact Betty Hakes at 513.309.5506 or by emailing [email protected].
ISSSC also invites Six Sigma users to join the Cincinnati Six Sigma User Group. ISSSC’s initiative to reach out to the business community is a vehicle for area Six Sigma professionals to collaborate and share ideas on different Six Sigma tools and methods. The group meets the 2nd Thursday of each month at 5:30 PM at various locations and focuses on a particular topic each month.
